Melges 24 Tour Act 1 on Lake Garda at Fraglia Vela Malcesine
3-5 May 2019, Melges 24 Tour Act 1, considered also as second act of the European Sailing Series.
The first act of the Melges 24 Tour, organized by Fraglia Vela Malcesine, in cooperation with the Melges 24 Italian class and the international class, ended this Sunday.
38 boats joined the event, coming from 10 different countries from all over Europe. Despite the unfortunate weather conditions, with unsteady wind and some rains, the organizing committee managed to conclude 4 races. MAIDOLLIS, by Luca Perego (Carlo Fracassoli, Enrico Fonda, Stefano Lagi e Giovanni Ferrari) won the overall ranking, follow by ALTEA helmed by Andrea Racchelli and BOMBARDA, by Andrea Pozzi. In the Corinthian fleet (not professional) the winner is GILL RACE TEAM by Miles Quinton (Geoff Carveth, Tom Offer, Ollie Wells e Habbah Peters), second place for Marco Zammarchi’s TAKI 4 and on the third step of the podium LENNY helmed by Tonu Toniste.
