Safeguarding and Prevention Policies

Pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 36 of February 28, 2021, and Legislative Decree No. 39/2021, Fraglia della Vela di Malcesine ASD is required to implement organizational and control models for sports activities, as well as codes of conduct for the protection of minors and the prevention of harassment, gender violence, and all other forms of discrimination. Additionally, it is mandatory to appoint a Responsible Officer against abuse, violence, and discrimination.

Organizational and Control Model for Sports Activities

In compliance with current regulations, Fraglia della Vela di Malcesine ASD has developed organizational and control models for sports activities, along with codes of conduct aimed at protecting minors and preventing harassment, gender violence, and any form of discrimination. This organizational and control model for sports activities has been drafted by Thorsoft SRL, in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 16 of Legislative Decree No. 39 of February 28, 2021, using guidelines provided by the Italian Sailing Federation.

Appointment of the Officer against abuse, violence, and discrimination

We hereby inform you that on June 22, 2024, the Board of Directors of Fraglia della Vela di Malcesine ASD appointed Mattia Mirenda as the Officer against abuse, violence, and discrimination, who will assume this role from June 22, 2024, as stipulated by Legislative Decree No. 198/2006 and subsequent Legislative Decrees No. 36/2021. The Officer against abuse, violence, and discrimination will be responsible for handling any reports of violence, abuse, discrimination, etc., concerning our members. The Officer in charge of preventing and combating all forms of abuse, gender violence, and discrimination, in compliance with Legislative Decree No. 198/2006 and to ensure the physical and moral integrity of athletes under Article 33, paragraph 6 of Legislative Decree No. 36/2021, is Mattia Mirenda.

Mattia Mirenda was assigned this role by the Board of Directors of Fraglia della Vela di Malcesine ASD, which convened on June 22, 2024, and has accepted the position. The appointment has been communicated via email to the Safeguarding Office of the Italian Sailing Federation.
